What the numbers mean at your stake
Every figure on this page priced against a bet you can actually place.
Two percentages run this game, and they answer different questions. The first is 96.04%, the theoretical return of 3 Golden Chests itself. The second is 84%, the average of the optional Risk Game that sits outside it. Read them together and the whole shape of a session becomes predictable, even though no individual round is.

What 96.04% actually means#
A long average, not a forecast of your session. The figure describes what the game returns across an enormous number of rounds, which is why a single evening can land anywhere around it. What it does give you is a fixed reference point: 96.04% is a single published model rather than a set of variants, so the maths you read here travels with the game, whichever lobby you open it in. The game’s own info panel states it as the theoretical game return, and says in the same place that the Risk Game sits outside that figure.
The Risk Game is deliberately excluded from that number. Endorphina publishes it separately at 84% precisely because it is optional: skip it and the return you play is the one above.
Build one habit around that. The info panel sits a tap from the control row, and it states the return of the build running at the table you opened. Read it once before your first spin and the question “which version am I playing” answers itself, at that table and at every other one you try. If you would rather pick the table first, the where to play page lists what to check.
The studio behind the game gives that panel some weight: Endorphina has held an MGA supplier licence since 2018, is registered as a supplier in Ontario and holds a licence in Alberta as its fifty-ninth regulated jurisdiction. That says nothing about any particular casino, which is why the footer of the site you play at is the second thing to read.
High volatility and a 2.78% hit frequency#
High volatility is the rating Endorphina publishes, and the 2.78% hit frequency, about one spin in 36, explains how that rating feels in practice: this slot saves its money for the lids.
The two numbers make sense once you know the prize model. Money symbols do not pay when they land. They carry a printed value and wait, and that value is cashed inside the Bonus Game, which opens when four regular symbols fill the centre row. The frequency figure therefore describes how often the game reaches that settle rather than a drip of small wins along the way: with scatter pays, a result is read off positions instead of off lines.
For a session that means three things. Quiet stretches are the design working as intended rather than a cold run. Your stake matters more than your spin count, because every printed prize scales from it. And the base game is never truly idle: STICKY symbols at 5x to 10x the total bet can build value on the grid while you wait, provided you leave the bet selector alone, since changing the total bet releases them on the next spin.
If you want a way to sit comfortably inside that rhythm, the strategy page covers stake sizing and session length without a single promise attached.
Bet sizes and what each one is worth#
The ceiling scales with whatever step you set, and the rail itself belongs to the casino and the currency: some rooms start the game at 0.01, others reach 250, and the panel inside the game shows your exact steps. Everything this slot pays is a multiplier of the total bet, so pricing a stake is multiplication and nothing more.
| At a total bet of | A 5x BONUS symbol | A 10x BONUS symbol | A 10x STICKY | ULTRA at 1,000x | The 1,400x ceiling |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0.01 | 0.05 | 0.1 | 0.1 | 10 | 14 |
| 0.1 | 0.5 | 1 | 1 | 100 | 140 |
| 10 | 50 | 100 | 100 | 10,000 | 14,000 |
| 100 | 500 | 1,000 | 1,000 | 100,000 | 140,000 |
| 250 | 1,250 | 2,500 | 2,500 | 250,000 | 350,000 |
Read the ceiling as one figure with a little room in it: the game pays up to 1,400x your total bet, and the provider’s own material goes as far as 1,500x. Either way it belongs to a single round, which is the important part. It is live on any bonus rather than something an evening accumulates towards.
The other number worth pricing is the entry, and this game prices it the friendliest way available: the way in is earned on the reels, with four regular symbols in the centre row, at the cost of the spin you were making anyway. That makes the price of a bonus identical at every step of the rail, which is unusual and genuinely player-friendly. Pick the stake you can repeat comfortably, and the cost of reaching the round takes care of itself. The how to play page shows where the bet selector sits.
The four fixed tiers price out the same way, and the gaps between them are worth holding in your head: MIN at 20x, MID at 50x, MAX at 100x and ULTRA at 1,000x mean MID is two and a half MINs, MAX is exactly two MIDs, and ULTRA is ten MAXes in one hit. At a 10 total bet that ladder reads 200, 500, 1,000 and 10,000; at 250 it reads 5,000, 12,500, 25,000 and 250,000. The ratios never move, because every one of them is a multiple of the single number you set on the rail.
One more way to use that table: it prices the two ends of the rail against each other. A 10x BONUS symbol at a 0.1 total bet returns 1, which is ten times the stake and a pleasant moment. The same symbol at a 100 total bet returns 1,000. The mechanics are identical; only the arithmetic moves. That is why choosing a stake you can repeat matters more in this game than in a line slot, where small wins soften the choice. Here the grid holds its value until the round cashes it, so the stake you set is the stake the whole board is priced in.

Fixed jackpots: ULTRA, MAX, MID, MIN#
You know what each lid is worth before you spin. The four tiers are fixed multipliers of the total bet rather than a shared progressive pool, which removes the usual guesswork about whether a jackpot is currently “worth chasing”. It always pays the same multiple.
| Tier | Multiplier | Condition |
|---|---|---|
| ULTRA | 1,000x the total bet | all 12 BONUS and special positions collected in the Bonus Game, BOOST excluded |
| MAX | 100x the total bet | landed on a grid symbol in the Bonus Game, or revealed by the green MYSTERY chest |
| MID | 50x the total bet | landed on a grid symbol in the Bonus Game, or revealed by the green MYSTERY chest |
| MIN | 20x the total bet | landed on a grid symbol in the Bonus Game, or revealed by the green MYSTERY chest |
ULTRA rewards a completed board, which ties the top tier directly to the attempt counter: you start with 3 attempts, every new symbol resets the counter to the top, and the round ends when the attempts run out or all 12 positions are covered. A long round is therefore the same thing as a valuable one. Note also that ULTRA at 1,000x is not the ceiling: BOOST, MYSTERY and COLLECT keep adding on top, which is how a round reaches the 1,400x figure.
The MYSTERY symbol pays into the same ladder, turning over at the end of the
round for MAX at 100x, MID at 50x, MIN at 20x, or a regular 7x or 10x the total
bet.
The Risk Game and its 84%#
The dealer’s card changes everything. After a paid round you can take the win or open the card gamble: pick one of four face-down cards against the dealer’s, and a win doubles the payout, up to ten attempts deep. The Joker beats every card and never lands on the dealer’s side, an equal card is a draw and the attempt is simply replayed, and TAKE WIN steps out at any point.
Across all situations the feature averages 84%, which is below the game’s own 96.04% and the reason this page treats it as a flourish. But the average hides a wide spread, and Endorphina publishes the breakdown.
| Dealer’s card | Return | Dealer’s card | Return |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 162% | 9 | 92% |
| 3 | 121% | 10 | 78% |
| 4 | 113% | J | 69% |
| 5 | 101% | Q | 66% |
| 6 | 100% | K | 64% |
| 7 | 100% | A | 42% |
| 8 | 100% |
The pattern is readable in one pass. Against a 2 the feature is generous at 162%, it stays above break-even through the 3, 4 and 5, and it sits exactly at 100% against a 6, a 7 and an 8. From a 9 onwards it turns sharply, and against an ace it returns 42%, less than half. Card probabilities in this feature are not uniform, so treat the table as the shape of the offer rather than as a formula.
It also helps to know what the feature does to your session as a whole. Because the Risk Game only appears after a paid round, using it every time effectively blends its 84% into the game’s 96.04%, and the more attempts you stack the more the blend leans on the feature. Using it selectively, or leaving it alone entirely, keeps your session running on the higher of the two figures. Nothing about this is a system, and no sequence of cards owes you anything; it is simply arithmetic about which average you spend most of your time inside.
The practical use is simple: decide before the round what you will do with a win, and let the dealer’s card make the decision easy rather than exciting. The strategy page puts that into a session plan, and the responsible gambling page covers the limits worth setting first. For the short version of the whole game, the slot hub has it in two screens.
